Copyright and DMCA policy
If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact form with the topic "Copyright notice". We respond to notices that meet the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and to equivalent notices under other laws.
How do you send a notice?
Use the contact form and choose "Copyright notice". The form asks for each element below:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- Identification of the material on this site, including its URL.
- Your contact information, including an email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
How do you send a counter-notification?
If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notification through the contact form with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and phone number.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
What if a notice is false?
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages. Please check your facts before sending.
Is there a repeat infringer policy?
The site has no user uploads. If we ever publish contributed material, we will stop accepting material from anyone who repeatedly infringes.
Will the other party see your notice?
We may forward a notice or counter-notification to the party concerned.
